This practice of yoga has so many benefits on so many levels of our being. Regular practice deepens your awareness of the physical body, strengthening and improving flexibility through Asana (postures) , corrects poor breathing habits through pranayama (control of the breath) as you learn to explore the breath and its potential to move you into a state of calm and relaxation.
The Asana (postures) are just a portal in to the inner landscape of your being, so that you are ultimately able to sit still, comfortably, for long enough to meditate and reap the fruits of your practice, gaining clarity of mind that enables your daily lives ‘off of your mat’ to be full of the same awareness and clarity you gain within your practice .
